Facilitating Positive Postpartum Health

Long term Health of Mother and Child find their roots in pregnancy, birth and the postpartum experience. Too often we see women struggling with the postpartum aftermath: having to deal with postpartum blues or even depression, physical problems and post-traumatic stress.

How can we help to create a positive postpartum experience in women, their partners and child? What type of care, birth environment and interventions foster the true needs of pregnant and birthing women? What will facilitate towards an empowered birthing experience and positive postpartum outcome?
